Penguins in Antarctica

We will be traveling from the Falkland Islands for 30 days aboard the Finnish icebreaker, Kapitan Klebnikov, literally sailing underneath the planet past the Ross Ice Shelf, McMurdo Station to Hobart, Tasmania.  Here we will study Ernest Shackleton’s famed voyage aboard “Endurance” and that of “Aurora”, sent from New Zealand as a supply ship to the expedition but later delivered — and eventually rescued –the men of the Ross Sea Party.
