Hi Dana – Read about you in PAW (I’m class of ’87, too and I remember you). I am soooooo jealous! I traveled around the world with my best friend at 24 and now I am married with 4 kids (ages 14, 10, 10 and 8 – I’ve got twins, too). We travel with them on 1-2 week vacations in the usual spots in Europe and beachy locations. Mt 14-year-old son has traveled with groups to China and places in EUrope. I have always daydreamed of taking a trip like this with my family but it is not likely so I will live vicariously through you. Have fun!!! You are so fortunate!

  5. I hope you are planning to see Mount Doom aka Mount Ngaurahoe at Tongariro. The climb is insane but cruising down on the loose tephra with 20 feet is simply exhilirating! Greg, don’t even think about it 😉

  6. OMG!!!

    Dana (and family),
I just began looking at your adventure ~ and my heart is jumping!

I am so happy that you all are so blessed to have such an experience! It’s clear why… it seems you really have the ability to bring this back in many forms to share with others!

I’m looking forward to really spending some time looking through your entire trip – from everyone’s point of view!

    thank you for sharing!

I hope the family is enjoying your beautiful hair today, dana!

  7. And now…? HOME!

Welcome back! We all missed you!

We are glad to see that you safely made it home. Besides providing stories for the rest of your lives, we hope that it has provided lessons on how you want to live your lives.
It was a treat to spend time with you aboard the KK. Dana & Greg, you have a family to be very proud of. Usually, we don’t have children or even teens aboard the expedition ships, but you 4 kids were more like young adults–well-behaved, well-mannered, well-spoken–but still age-appropriate!!
We would love to spend time with y’all again sometime.
